If water is running right now

Shut the water off

Main valve is usually at the front of the house near the hose bib, or in the meter box at the curb. Turn it clockwise until it stops.

Kill power if it's near water

If water is anywhere near outlets, panels or the water heater, shut off the breaker before you go near it.
